Once your project is ready, getting it live on the web takes just a few clicks. On HeyBoss, you can choose two simple ways to publish your project online — whether you’re a creator launching your first portfolio or a brand looking for a professional domain.
Before publishing, you can customize the following settings:
-> Project Name: Choose a unique name for your project that reflects its purpose or identity.
-> Visibility: Decide if you want your project to be private (by checking the "Private" box). This will prevent others from using your template.
🟢 Option 1: Publish with a HeyBoss Default Domain
Perfect for beginners and quick sharing
Steps:
- Click "Publish".
- In the pop-up window, choose "Host on a free HeyBoss domain"(default).
- A unique link will be automatically generated (e.g., yourproject.heyboss.tech).
- Click "View project" to view your website.

- Instant publishing, no setup required
- Completely free — no domain or hosting fees
- Ideal for testing, portfolios, resumes, or MVPs

🟡 Option 2: Publish with Your Own Custom Domain
(For brands, businesses, and subscribers who want a polished presence)
💡 Why use a custom domain?

Steps:
- Click "Publish".
- In the pop-up window, select "connect my own domain ".
- Enter your domain (e.g.,
yourbrand.com). - The system will attempt to auto-detect your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy).
- Log in to your domain provider registrar account — the system will configure the domain automatically.
- Click "Done" and "View project" your site will go live on your custom domain within a few minutes!
If Your Registrar Isn’t Detected: Manual Setup
- Scroll to the bottom and click “Go to our manual setup.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add an A Record in your domain management panel.
- After saving, return to HeyBoss and click "Done" and then "Publish".
- Your custom domain will go live shortly.
